There is dry camping (self-contained) on site in the cool pines adjacent to the barn for $15/night. Additionally, there are a number of hotels within 6 miles of the barn.
Unfortunately no, we cannot provide after hour care for your child. Please ask about pick up times for each specific camp as they vary.
Our beginner camp caters to the new horse lover. We have gentle, kid friendly horses that will help your child grow in confidence and skills!
Our preferred foot ware is a boot with a small heel. We do allow sneakers as we know boots can be an expensive purchase. However, rubber soled shoes with tread can sometime get caught in the stirrups.
No worries! We have many non-riding, indoor or in the barn activities for the campers to participate in during the brief and occasional monsoons.
No. If you child does not have an equestrian helmet one will be provided by the camp. Equestrian helmets provide more head coverage, especially in the back of the head. Equestrian helmets also have a much harder outer shell for added protection.
No. It requires a great deal of meal planning and horse preparation prior to camp. We will however offer a credit towards a future camp or individual riding lessons.
If a child exhibits any of the symptoms below, the child will not be allowed to stay at camp until a doctor has provided a statement that the child is not contagious.
We do not provide refunds for homesickness. Please make sure you child is mature enough to spend 4 nights away from home before registration. Your child will have 24-hour adult and/or senior counselor supervision. We always do our best to manage any homesick emotions to help the child feel comfortable before calling parents.
During our day camp, all electronic devices (phones, iPads, tablet etc.) are not allowed during camp sessions. During our overnight camps you child will be allowed some time in the evening to phone home or post pictures from camp. We find that our camps keep your child stimulated in such a way that they don’t need or want their phones during camp!
Absolutely! We would love to show you around and meet your child before the rush of the 1stday of camp. It is often less intimidating for your child if they have a familiar place to look forward to visiting.
Lessons for campers are available for $50/hour after camp is done for the day. We also provide riding lessons throughout the year. Contact us for more information.
Camper owned horses can be used at camp provided the Trainer has met the horse and has approved it prior to the start of camp. Boarding fees will apply.
