Horse Boarding/Training/Riding Lessons/Events and Camps
Established in 2006, NARS has become the most highly desired boarding facility in Northern Arizona. We are home to both year round horses as well as summertime (seasonal) horses. Daily, weekly and monthly boarding options available! We are the preferred overnight layover stop to the world famous Budweiser Clydesdale's.
We offer many options for boarding to suit the needs of both owners and horses. We welcome all breeds, ages and all disciplines!
Our facility is located at 3090 S. Old Munds Highway in Flagstaff just a 1/2 mile from the I-17 and 6 miles from the I-40 freeway. We are situated on 10 acres of prime forested land with direct access to the Coconino National Forest for miles of riding.
Your horses will be well cared for at NARS. With full time, on-site owners and managers and 7 day a week staff, your horses will always be in good hands. We offer custom feeding programs specializing in "hard keepers" and senior horses.
"I have Shown Grand Prix jumpers and have been to some of the best stables in the country. There is no place like NARS, the facilities are impeccable and the staff is amazing. I never worry about my horses . ~ Mary S. 2017
I had an amazing experience when I brought my 3 Friesians to NARS for June and July 2017! Susan had wonderful barn stalls for my horses and her staff is amazing, caring and helpful! The other borders were such fun and became good friends. Bess was a great teacher and I got to learn some much needed Dressage techniques from her. The most important thing is that Susan and staff are so caring with your horses! It was a wonderful experience.
~ Kathy N. 2017

Susan Wolfe is a native of Arizona and founded Northern Arizona Riding Stables in 2006. With a lifetime passion for horses Susan puts her past experience in business and the medical field to good use at NARS. She has owned horses for 30+ years and has been working in the horse industry for 18 years. Susan has owned teams of draft horses, quarter horses, mules and more. When not running the barn she enjoys trail riding and spending time with her family. Susan is a mother of 2 grown children who are keeping her well stocked with grand babies!
Corrin started riding when she was 7 years old. She participated in Western Pleasure and Hunter Jumper, and when she moved to Arizona in 2006 found a passion for Barrel Racing. She attended the University of Arizona and graduated with a Bachelors in Equine Sciences. Corrin shows up to work every day with a smile on her face and a genuine passion for the horses at NARS. Her attention to detail is why we love that she takes care of our horses everyday! During her free time Corrin enjoys working with her three horses and practicing for her next race!
Sydney Kerr has been actively riding horses since she was three years old. She grew up riding both English and Western. She participated in the United States Pony Club (USPC) from age nine to age sixteen and completed certifications up to the C-2 levels in both riding and horse management. She has competed in Hunters, Equitation, and Medals since she was twelve years old. In Sydney’s college career, She was a key founder of the Northern Arizona University (NAU) Equestrian Club, serving as President and then Vice President from 2016-2018; She was a Working Student/Summer Intern at Happy’s Dream Ranch in Prescott, Arizona the summer of 2016; and after transferring to Arizona State University (ASU) she competed as an Intermediate level rider for the ASU Equestrian Club on their Varsity Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Team for the 2018-2019 season. She has extensive trail experience that has taken her through obstacles such as: standing water, rivers, mountains, desert, and long hours in both english and western saddles. She is able to handle horses and mules on the trail both mounted and unmounted. For fun, Sydney enjoys trail riding, competing in Hunter/Jumper shows, and spending time in the barn.
